James H. Cole is the Chair of Marshall Dennehey Warner Coleman & Goggin’s Property Litigation Practice Group and co-chairs the firm’s Fraud/Special Investigation Practice Group. He focuses his practice on the investigation and litigation of SIU and property damage claims, including arson, mold and automobile thefts. Within these areas, he is experienced in bad faith and coverage issues inherent to first party/SIU investigations and litigation. Prior to earning his law degree from Temple University Beasley School of Law in 1999, Jim was a claims professional at a large insurance carrier for eight years where he gained invaluable insights into the effective management and resolution of first and third party property claims.
He is a member of the International Association of Special Investigation Units, the Insurance Committee for Arson Control, and the Pennsylvania and Bucks County Bar Associations. In 2010, Jim received a Certificate o f Appreciation from the National Insurance Crime Bureau. Additionally, he is a member of the Claims & Litigation Management Alliance (CLM), where he co-chairs the Property Committee and serves as an instructor at its annual Claims College.
